Metrics & Reporting

Metrics & Reporting

Purpose: Outline how CJCS & AI tracks and reports its performance, which can include citation metrics (once indexed), submission statistics, and readership.

Content and Elements:

  • Author-Level Metrics: If any (e.g. Altmetric badges on articles).
  • Journal-Level Metrics: Mention tracking of Scopus CiteScore, Google Scholar metrics, and (once eligible) Impact Factor. Provide a plan to publish or update these statistics annually.
  • Reporting: Commit to transparency by reporting acceptance rate, review times, and other stats (e.g. “Our acceptance rate was X% last year with an average review time of Y days”). This may be posted in an editorial or annual report.
  • Analytics: Indicate we use site analytics to monitor usage. We could briefly note any membership in Index Copernicus or get Recognition services, but those are not required.

Sample Wording:

“CJCS & AI will monitor metrics such as citation counts, usage statistics, and reviewer performance. While a formal impact factor will only come after WoS indexing, we will report CiteScore (Elsevier) or similar metrics publicly once available. Authors and readers can also view download and citation data for individual articles via Google Scholar and Crossref records.”
