Copyright & Licensing
Purpose: Reiterate copyright ownership and licensing in formal terms.
Content and Elements:
- State that CJCS & AI publishes under CC BY 4.0, and that authors retain copyright.
- Provide a link or summary of the license terms (or an excerpt).
- Clarify that CJCS & AI is granted a non-exclusive license to publish the work (as per [58] “non-exclusive license” clause).
- If any exceptions (e.g. third-party material), specify how authors should handle copyright clearances.
Sample Wording: “Authors retain copyright of their work. By publishing in CJCS & AI, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to distribute the work. All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This allows others to copy, redistribute, remix, and build upon the work, even commercially, as long as the original authors and source are credited.”
Include the CC BY 4.0 badge/icon if possible.
